The residence hall provides a drug and alcohol free coed living experience. In addition, smoking is not permitted inside the building. There are
separate bathrooms for men and women on each floor. Rooms are spacious, and furnished with beds, desks, and dressers.

The building was originally a sorority and was completely renovated
over the summer of 1994. Seventy-seven beds are available, arranged in single,
double, triple, and quadruple rooms. In addition to UCB undergraduates,
international students attending English courses or Certificate Programs will occupy
the residence hall. This mix will provide opportunities for international students to
meet and interact with American students.
