Greetings from Berkeley Hillside! There are many common areas for students to socialize in a casual setting. We have a large 64-inch screen television, pool table and fireplace in the main living area as well as plenty of sofas. Outdoors, there is a courtyard, which is a nice place to get some sun while socializing or working. There is a spacious library as well. Availible througout the building is wireless networking which allows residents to use the Internet anywhere in Hillside.
Residential Assistants (RAs) live in the house to assist students. RAs are a good source of information about life in the Berkeley area. They also help organize social events and other activities. Nineteen meals a week are served in the dining hall. Our Food Service Director is receptive to student suggestions and plans a varied menu every month.

Thank you for your interest in Hillside Residence Hall. We are located in the Berkeley Hills within four blocks of the University campus. The residence hall has a capacity of 49 students, living in either single or double rooms. On the ground floor, we have common areas such as a TV lounge with a big screen TV, study room, and a dining room. Hillside also has a pool table and a ping-pong table available for entertainment. We have recently acquired a baby grand piano. There is a coin operated laundry room conveniently located on the second floor for all students. The rooms are on the second and third floor. In addition, we also provide free high-speed wireless internet access for the residents here.
